Every year, downtown Rockford has free carriage rides. This year, Grandpa and Grandma took the kids and I so we could go on a ride even though Daddy was at work. December 8th, 2011.

Halloween 2011
This year, for the annual family Halloween party, we had the party a week before Halloween 10-22-11) because my sister-in-law was due to give birth to her 7th child around Halloween-time. The party was at my sister Becky's house again. I was rushed to get all five of our costumes finished in about a week, but I managed to get it done! We dressed as the "Incredibles", Benjamin was Dash, Anna was Violet, and Peter was Jack Jack (which he absolutely LOVED!)
Halloween Trick-or-Treating in downtown Greenville was on Halloween day this year. I usually let the kids wear something different than what they'll wear for the neighborhood Trick-or-Treating/family Halloween party, just for something different.
Halloween at home was a blast this year, Jason took the day off of work so that we could all go Trick-or-Treating together. We decided to go out Trick-or-Treating first, and then come back to hand out candy. Last year we handed out candy until it was gone and then went Trick-or-Treating, but it was darker out then and harder to see. This year, we got back home before it was fully dark. It also had a fun "side effect" I wasn't expecting: Attention! We got so many positive comments on our family costumes and several people took out their camera phones and asked us to pose for pictures!

Anna was an elephant.
