Halloween 2011

This year, for the annual family Halloween party, we had the party a week before Halloween 10-22-11) because my sister-in-law was due to give birth to her 7th child around Halloween-time. The party was at my sister Becky's house again. I was rushed to get all five of our costumes finished in about a week, but I managed to get it done! We dressed as the "Incredibles", Benjamin was Dash, Anna was Violet, and Peter was Jack Jack (which he absolutely LOVED!)

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in downtown Greenville was on Halloween day this year. I usually let the kids wear something different than what they'll wear for the neighborhood Trick-or-Treating/family Halloween party, just for something different.

Anna was an elephant.

Here are Becky's kids as barnyard animals and Benjamin in the back as a pirate:

Halloween at home was a blast this year, Jason took the day off of work so that we could all go Trick-or-Treating together. We decided to go out Trick-or-Treating first, and then come back to hand out candy. Last year we handed out candy until it was gone and then went Trick-or-Treating, but it was darker out then and harder to see. This year, we got back home before it was fully dark. It also had a fun "side effect" I wasn't expecting: Attention! We got so many positive comments on our family costumes and several people took out their camera phones and asked us to pose for pictures!

Your Incredible costumes were the best I've seen in a long time. Very creative and flawlessly crafted. I was pretty proud of my Darth Mouse costume, but your family took the cake. It really is a shame you didn't win that Daily News contest - you sure deserved it!
